JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The USD/IDR is steady at 8,660 capped by suspected central bank intervention. Three dealers suspect the central bank has sold around $20 million around the 8,660 level, following a series of suspected intervetions since Monday.
“The dollar is still well bid and I think Bank Indonesia will still need to sell more dollars,“ a dealer say.
He adds, lingering concerns over the euro-zone debt crisis continue to trigger outflows from Indonesian stocks and bonds. Dealers tip a 8,650-8,680 range for today.
